Sidener Homers 3 Times Against South Pasadena
Wednesday, August 28th , 2024
The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the South Pasadena Air Riders.
Wichita first baseman Bobby Sidener tripled up on the home runs to propel the Panthers to a win, 15-3, at Air Riders Ballpark.
"We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," South Pasadena manager Nate West said. "Sidener hit the heck out of the ball."
In addition to the homers, Sidener collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats, 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
"Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings."
Bobby Sidener flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Flores in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Jorge Jacome in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Adrian Leal in the 9th.
Batting .379 to date, Sidener has 26 home runs and 86 RBIs.
