Providence left fielder Rafael Miranda tripled up on the home runs to propel the Hex to a win, 13-6, at Ballpark of Providence. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Pikeville manager Mike Schwartz said. "Miranda hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Miranda collected 3 hits in 3 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scored 4 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Rafael Miranda hit a solo-shot off Cody Ahern in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Javier Pacheco in the 4th and hit a solo-shot off Javier Pacheco in the 6th. Miranda is currently hitting .317 with 13 home runsand 33 RBIs, while scoring 39 runs. |
