Going, Going, Gone! Guerra Hits 3 Homers Saturday, August 17th , 2024 Whatever Juan Guerra ate for breakfast before his game against the South Pasadena Air Riders, it gave him some impressive power. The Mt. Vernon center fielder smacked three balls up and out of the park at Mt. Vernon Grounds. His home run barrage helped the Cyclones defeat the Air Riders, 21-3. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 5-for-6, scored 3 times, drove in 6 and put on a display that history will remember. Juan Guerra singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jorge Jacome in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Adam Downing in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Cortez Oyola in the 8th. Currently Guerra has 28 home runs and a .330 batting average. |
