Russ Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak Wednesday, August 26th , 2026 Ryan Russ continued his streak at Car Ramrod Park, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Carson City shortstop was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Miners were not as fortunate, losing, 5-4, to the Santa Barbara Super Troopers. "Russ was hitting everything we threw at him," said Santa Barbara manager Tyler Haskin. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Ryan Russ grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th and singled in the 6th. This year, Russ is hitting .388 with 174 hits, 8 home runs, 65 RBIs and has scored 84 runs. |
