Montoya Sensational, 5-for-6 Tuesday, August 6th , 2024 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but St. Joseph's Carlos Montoya made it happen against the Jammers. Everything came together at the plate for the 22-year-old catcher as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Mighty Mites triumph, 18-4, at Mighty Mites Park. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Montoya said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Carlos Montoya grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
