Futrell Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Thursday, August 13th , 2026 The Niskayuna Fighting Knights stopped the Spring Park Green Knights, 12-2, and Jake Futrell collected a base hit yet again. The Niskayuna first baseman finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Futrell told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Jake Futrell grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the season, Futrell has hit .352 with 6 home runs and 37 RBIs. He has played in 40 games and scored 30 times. |
