Carson City's Fortney Injured, Out of Lineup Saturday, August 8th , 2026 The season is ending on a bad note for Pat Fortney, reliever for the Carson City Miners. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Fortney was hurt against the Mt. Vernon Cyclones while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for at least 14 months. So far this year, Fortney has been credited with no saves, registered a 3.40 ERA and struck out 34 in 39.2 innings. He also has a 1-0 record. |
