Lynx End Phillips Streak Sunday, August 2nd , 2026 It was a doubly miserable day for Dylan Phillips of the Waco Warlocks, as he saw his 27-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 12-4, to the Ottawa Lynx at Warlocks Grounds. The 22-year-old right fielder was held hitless in 2 at-bats by the Lynx. "Anyone on a 27-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Ottawa manager Nick Boyd said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." Phillips is currently hitting at a .330 pace with 15 home runs, 48 RBIs and has scored 72 times. |
