Niskayuna Halts Ramos's Hitting Steak Sunday, July 21st , 2024 The 20-game hitting streak is over. Newport News Wranglers first baseman Jose Ramos failed to get a hit against the Niskayuna Fighting Knights and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 20-year-old went 0-for-3 in his club's 5-4 victory over the Fighting Knights at Wranglers Stadium. "I think I only made it to 20 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak." Ramos's current batting average stands at .317 and he has chalked up 15 home runs and 55 RBIs. |
