Ramos Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Saturday, July 20th , 2024 Jose Ramos's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Newport News. The 20-year-old first baseman extended it once again, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 1-for-4 performance against the Niskayuna Fighting Knights. The Wranglers won the game, 3-2. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Jose Ramos flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. Ramos is hitting at a .320 mark this season. His stats show 15 home runs, 55 RBIs and 62 runs scored. He has played 77 games for the Wranglers. |
