Ontario Stops Howard Hit Streak Monday, July 15th , 2024 Sikeston center fielder Jayden Howard was held hitless in today's game by the Ontario Sunrays, but the loss of his 20-game hitting streak was eased by the 23-3 Shamrocks victory at Shamrocks Park. "I don't care about the streak, and one 0-for-0 day isn't a big deal," he said later. "But I'm going to come in early tomorrow for some extra batting practice to keep this from turning into a slump." This year, Howard is batting .355 with 9 home runs. He has scored 33 runs and driven in 27. |
