Diaz Pounds 3 HR Monday, July 8th , 2024 Rafael Diaz was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 14-1 Ottawa Lynx triumph at Rivermen Ballpark. The 22-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Lynx past the Little Rock Golden Gophers. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Diaz told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The center fielder went 3-for-5, rung up 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Rafael Diaz hit a solo-shot off Mario Manrique in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Danny Mendoza in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Pedro Bautista in the 8th. Diaz on the season is hitting .289 with 5 home runs. His stats include 13 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
