Monster 3-HR Day for Gutierre
Friday, July 3rd , 2026
Chris Gutierre brutalized the Julian Jammers pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 9-2 Waco victory at Jammers Park. The Waco Warlocks third baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.
"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."
For the game, he went 3-for-6 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Too much Chris Gutierre today," Jammers manager Cameron Pabst said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."
Chris Gutierre hit a two-run home run off Jose Alejandro in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jose Alejandro in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
This season, Gutierre is batting .282 with 11 home runs.
