MacPherson Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games
Thursday, June 19th , 2025
With 1 hit at Miners Ballpark, Mike MacPherson added another game to his hitting streak -- the Santa Barbara shortstop has now hit safely for 25 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Super Troopers, as they fell, 6-4, to the Carson City Miners.
"Frankly, I don't care about hits," Carson City manager Nate West said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Mike MacPherson struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
This season, MacPherson has 14 home runs and a .414 batting average.
