Carson City Reliever Hurt

Ricardo Alva has to call it a season. The Carson City Miners reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Mt. Vernon Cyclones and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Alva was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as radial nerve compression and stated that he would not be able to play for 6 months.
On the season, Alva has delivered 0 saves in 15 relief appearances. He has 15 strikeouts in 26.2 innings with a 7.42 ERA and a 1-0 mark.
