Big Day with Bat: Pauly 5-for-5 Sunday, June 21st , 2026 Newport News first baseman Justin Pauly had a big day at Wranglers Stadium against the Spring Park Green Knights. The 22-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 11-2 Wranglers triumph over Spring Park. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Pauly said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Justin Pauly doubled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jose Villalpando in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 7th.
