Great Stroke: Howard Gets 5 Hits Saturday, June 20th , 2026 At Ballpark of Providence, Ross Howard of the Providence Hex put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and mauled the Greensboro Naturals pitching staff, but Providence still came up short on the scoreboard. The Hex went home with the 17-5 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their first baseman. "Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," Howard said in the postgame interview. Ross Howard singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Batting .290 to date, Howard has 11 home runs and 46 RBIs.
