Alvarez 5-for-5 Against Tacoma Sunday, June 2nd , 2024 Mario Alvarez had an answer for everything the Tacoma Thunder Wolves threw at him at Chanticleers Ballpark. The Newport center fielder went 5-for-5 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Unicorns a win, 16-1. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Alvarez said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Mario Alvarez hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
