Nelson 5-for-7 for Black Aces Friday, June 5th , 2026 Santa Ana Black Aces first baseman Aaron Nelson had a day to remember at Santa Ana Stadium, ripping apart the Aurora Paints and sparking the 5-4 Black Aces win. Nelson wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-7. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Nelson told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Aaron Nelson flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and hit an RBI single in the 13th.
