Connecting with regularity, Banger finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but the Miners rose to the occasion and rained on his parade by winning the game, 10-8. "Banger was really good, we were just a little better," said Miners manager Nate West in the postgame interview. "It's all right with me if he gets 5 hits every game against us, as long as we win." Vince Banger hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.
