Stopper 5-for-6 Against Thunder Wolves Monday, April 21st , 2025 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Jesse Stopper, it came around today. The 21-year-old second baseman scattered hits all over Thunder Wolves Stadium to pace the 22-17 Ottawa Lynx victory over the Tacoma Thunder Wolves. Tacoma skipper Alfonso Estrada told reporters in the press room that "Stopper deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Stopper hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Jesse Stopper doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
