In the Waco's 9-4 win over Santa Ana, first baseman Dane Hove was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Santa Ana Stadium. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Hove said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Dane Hove hit a three-run home run off Scott Lewandowski in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Mike Hrdlicka in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
