Medina Belts 3 HRs Wednesday, May 6th , 2026 It was a day for the record books for Chuluota Imperials second baseman Alberto Medina, who walloped three out of Field of the Sunchasers against the Sunchasers. However, not even a three-homer game could prevent the Sunchasers from getting the 17-9 victory. "We threw some good pitches and they hit 'em, and we made some bad pitches and they hit 'em. That's a good strategy for losing ballgames," Chuluota skipper joked after the loss. Medina still had a few opportunities to celebrate along the way. He was 4-for-5 for the day, batting in 5 runs and scoring 3 times. "I never, ever thought I would hit three home runs," Medina said. "I hit three home runs once when I was 12 in Little League and I thought that was going to be the last time." Alberto Medina hit a solo-shot off Eddie Mojica in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Eddie Mojica in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Arturo Ramirez in the 7th. To date Medina has chalked up a .356 average with 8 home runs, driven in 22 runs and scored 26 times. |
