Gallardo Has 30-Game Hitting Streak Wednesday, May 6th , 2026 Jose Gallardo ran his hitting streak to 30 straight games at Field of the Sunchasers, when he collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Chuluota Imperials dropped the game, 17-9, to the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Gallardo said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Jose Gallardo flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Currently Gallardo is batting .487 with 7 home runs and 27 RBIs. |
