Borrego Springs Halts Maser's Hitting Steak Sunday, May 3rd , 2026 It was a doubly miserable day for Dave Maser of the Plymouth Rockers, as he saw his 29-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 11-10, to the Borrego Springs Rams at Madison Grounds. The 19-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Rams. "Anyone on a 29-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Borrego Springs manager Rob Kearney said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." Maser is currently hitting .480 with 9 home runsand 27 RBIs, while scoring 24 runs. |
