Norwood Cracks 5 Hits Monday, April 27th , 2026 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Chris Norwood -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Sled Dogs Ballpark and paced the 12-11 Sled Dogs win over the Jacksonville Nationals. After his dynamite batting performance, the Juneau center fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 7 tries and put his name in the record book. Chris Norwood hit a solo-shot off Victor Joya in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 12th and flied out in the 14th.
