Walker Has 20-Game Hitting Streak
Wednesday, April 22nd , 2026
The Picture Rocks Raptors may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 15-13, to the Haviland Thrashers, but Mike Walker continued to hit like a god.
The first baseman collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Walker is playing great and is on fire right now," Raptors manager Justin Shelhart said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Walker was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Mike Walker flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Bert Juarez in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Danny Flores in the 8th, walked in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
So far this year in 15 games, Walker is hitting .643 with 10 home runs, 28 RBIs and 24 runs scored.
