NC Star of the Week Named
Monday, May 3rd , 2021
Jerry Robinson must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .387 clip, then the Franklin left fielder finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the NC Player of the Week Award.
He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too."
For the week Robinson batted .387 (12-for-31) with 5 home runs and 8 RBIs.
Robinson is hitting .309 this year with 9 home runs, 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has 29 hits in 94 at-bats, 8 walks and a .363 on-base percentage. Robinson has played in 26 games.
