Black Smacks 3 Out of the Park Sunday, April 25th , 2021 Dan Black of the Nationals went on a hitting spree at Ballpark of Picture Rocks and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a loss, 8-7, to the Picture Rocks Raptors. "I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," Black said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." The Jacksonville first baseman did indeed have quite a game, collecting 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. Dan Black hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th and hit a sac fly in the 9th. Black is currently batting .455 with 10 home runs, 16 runs scored and 23 RBIs. His OBP is .479. |
