Pirates Grant Gatzke Hurt Friday, April 29th , 2022 When Grant Gatzke was hurt against the Whitby Bats, the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 22-year-old left fielder suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow throwing the ball in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Gatzke would miss 5 months of the season. For the year, Gatzke is batting .242 with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
