Bresette Powers 3 HR Against Biloxi
Wednesday, April 20th , 2022
Jacksonville Nationals catcher John Bresette put on a dazzling display of power at Nationals Park against the Biloxi Jackpot. In the 12-3 Nationals victory, Bresette penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.
"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Biloxi manager Steve Warzecha said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."
Along with his three home runs, the 21-year-old had 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Bresette said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."
John Bresette hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th.
So far this season, Bresette is hitting .262 with 5 home runs, 10 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 11 hits in 42 at-bats and a .311 OBP.
