Monster 3-HR Day for Day Tuesday, April 5th , 2022 Moriarty Suns left fielder Dale Day put on a dazzling display of power at Super Solarplex against the Lincoln Princes. In the 17-4 Suns victory, Day penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Lincoln manager Jorge Vasquez said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 21-year-old had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Day said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today." Dale Day struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th and struck out in the 6th. |
