Danny Shafer Captures Prestigious Trophy

Danny Shafer took ABA Rookie League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 20.
For his spectacular campaign, the Moncton Mounties star has been named the 2026 Northern Conference Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the left fielder.
On the season he compiled a .403 batting average to go with a .498 on-base percentage. The native of West Memphis, Arkansas also added 61 doubles, 18 triples, 52 home runs, 194 RBIs and 175 runs scored.
He received 22 first place votes out of a possible 24. Nick Clarke of the Tiverton Colonels finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Devon Hudson of the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates finished third.
