NC Selects Top Manager, Mounties Hoffman Wins Wednesday, October 14th , 2026 Moncton Mounties field manager Johnny Hoffman has brought a winning attitude to the team and the city. His no-nonsense approach, work ethic and baseball experience have paved the way for success. This season the Mounties parlayed his managerial skills and some talented ballplayers into a first place spot in the Northern Conference East Division standings. Moncton finished the year with a 120-20 record. To everybody's delight Hoffman was voted the 2026 Northern Conference Manager of the Year by the baseball writers. "Mr. Hoffman doesn't take any nonsense. If you aren't doing your job, he's not afraid to call you on it," noted one of his ballplayers. "But the team wouldn't want to play for anyone else. He's tough, demanding, but he treats everyone fairly and doesn't play favorites. Nobody gets pampered on his ballclub." |
