Ft. Wayne Defeats Moncton Thursday, October 1st , 2026 This is the time of the baseball season when grown men are reduced to tears. This year, the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes were shedding tears of joy and the Moncton Mounties those of sorrow. The Earthquakes topped the Mounties today 11-6 at Earthquakes Stadium and locked up their 10th ABA Rookie League World Series championship, winning the series 4-1. "To come this far and leave empty-handed is not easy," said Moncton manager Johnny Hoffman.
