Jacksonville Stops Borquez Hit Streak Sunday, September 7th , 2025 The 30-game hitting streak of Ruben Borquez has come to an end. The Buckeye Local Panthers right fielder went 0-for-3 in his team's 12-6 loss to the Jacksonville Nationals at Cincinnati Grounds. "It's not just Ruben who came up short," Panthers manager Tyler Byrd said in his postgame press conference. "This was a team loss." Borquez is batting .399 this season in 130 games with 12 home runs, 93 RBIs and 99 runs scored. He has 209 hits in 524 at-bats. |
