Borquez Boosts Hit Streak to 30 Games Saturday, September 6th , 2025 Win or lose, Ruben Borquez just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 30 games. The Buckeye Local Panthers right fielder went 2-for-3, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 17-4, by the Jacksonville Nationals at Cincinnati Grounds. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Ruben Borquez flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd and singled in the 5th. Currently Borquez is batting .401 with 12 home runs, 93 RBIs and 99 runs scored. |
