6-Hit Blitz by Buckeye Local's Takata Thursday, September 4th , 2025 Masaaki Takata got the glory and the headlines, but the Juneau Sled Dogs left with the win. The Buckeye Local catcher easily handled the Sled Dogs pitching, going 6-for-7, but his Buckeye Local Panthers came out on the short end of the 20-19 score. Takata told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end." Masaaki Takata singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
