Gratta Goes Yard 3 Times Thursday, September 4th , 2025 The Juneau Sled Dogs knocked off the Buckeye Local Panthers, 20-19, in spite of a fantastic performance by Panthers first baseman Nick Gratta, who drilled three home runs but couldn't bring home the victory. "It's like going to the prom with the prettiest girl in school, having a great time, but then not getting a good night kiss," Gratta said later. Gratta finished the day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 6 RBI and 4 runs scored. Nick Gratta hit a solo-shot off Manny Martinez in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Manny Martinez in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a sac fly in the 7th and walked in the 9th. This year, Gratta has hit 81 home runs and posted a .449 batting average. |
