Thursday, September 4th , 2025
Jacksonville Nationals second baseman Dan Skiba had a magnificent game against the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers, rocketing three balls out of Nationals Park to help the Nationals win, 18-4.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Skiba went 4-for-4 with 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Jacksonville manager Zack Glomski said later. "Seems like Dan found his home run stroke today."
Dan Skiba hit a solo-shot off Jesus Gonzalez in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Manny Mendez in the 5th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Mario Rosales in the 6th.
During the current season Skiba is batting at a .428 clip with 40 home runs and 164 RBIs. He has played in 125 games and scored 167 times.
