Borquez Boosts Hit Streak to 25 Games

Ruben Borquez has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 20-year-old Buckeye Local Panthers right fielder extended his streak to 25 games, going 3-for-6 as Buckeye Local got the best of the San Antonio Griffins at Cincinnati Grounds, 19-17.
"Ruben has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Panthers manager Tyler Byrd said. Ruben Borquez grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Alex Hernandez in the 6th, singled in the 7th, walked in a run in the 8th and grounded out in the 8th.
To date, Borquez has collected 198 hits for a .397 average. He has posted 12 home runs, scored 92 runs and driven in 86 runs.
