Barrineau Smacks 5 Hits for Chargers Friday, August 29th , 2025 It was a sensational day at the plate for Terra Linda Chargers left fielder Colby Barrineau, but a tough one for the team, as the Chargers dropped the contest, 16-15, to the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates. Even with the loss, Barrineau was pure misery for the Saint Pierre and Miquelon pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting. "It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Barrineau, who is the 21-year old left fielder . "Barrineau really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Pirates manager Bryan Crockett told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Colby Barrineau hit a solo-shot off Ben Epps in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season, Barrineau is batting .548 with 46 hits, 13 home runs, 46 RBIs, 22 walks, .642 OBP and has scored 37 runs. He has played in 22 games. View Boxscore View Game Log |
