Borquez Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Tuesday, August 26th , 2025 The hot bat of Panthers right fielder Ruben Borquez continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 4-for-6 in today's 14-9 loss to the Wolverines at Cincinnati Grounds. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Ruben Borquez flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season, Borquez is hitting .394 with 11 home runs. |
