McFarland Extends Hit Streak to 58 Games Friday, August 15th , 2025 Bobby McFarland, second baseman for the Jacksonville Nationals, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 58 games with 3 hits in his club's 14-6 victory over the Riverside Wolverines at Wolverines Ballpark. "Not the outcome we wanted," Riverside manager Matt Augustus said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Bobby McFarland flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. This season, McFarland has hit 25 home runs and posted a .512 batting average. |
