McFarland Keeps Hit Streak Alive
Wednesday, August 13th , 2025
Bobby McFarland's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 56 games. The Jacksonville second baseman smacked 3 hits against the Juneau Sled Dogs in today's game at Sled Dogs Ballpark, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Nationals drop the game, 5-3.
"I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Bobby McFarland struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and singled in the 8th.
So far this year, McFarland has 25 home runs and a .513 batting average.
