The numbers that Borrego Springs's Luis Ortega put up last week were the envy of the league, as Ortega came away with Northern Conference Player of the Week honors. He belted out 15 hits in 29 at-bats, 6 home runs and 13 RBIs last week as he posted his .517 batting average. This season, Ortega is batting .450 with 33 home runs. |
