Koerner Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Sunrise Manor Monday, August 4th , 2025 Ft. Wayne Earthquakes catcher Curt Koerner finally met his Waterloo. A 27-game hitting spree is now history after Koerner was unable to make anything happen in 4 at-bats today against the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers. Fortunately for Koerner and the Earthquakes, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game, 7-6. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 27 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." Currently Koerner has 63 home runs and a .484 batting average. |
