Higgins Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak Saturday, August 2nd , 2025 It has been quite a while since somebody held Matt Higgins without a hit in a game. The Buckeye Local Panthers weren't the ones to do it in today's game at Nationals Park. Higgins banged out 3 hits for the Jacksonville Nationals and extended his hitting streak to 25 consecutive games in his club's 22-11 victory. "I really enjoy numbers and statistics, so it's been fun seeing how long this streak will go," he said. Matt Higgins struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. For the year, Higgins has hit .427 with 20 home runs, 84 RBIs and scored 113 runs. |
