Lunsford Bashes 3 HR for Lincoln Thursday, August 24th , 2023 Tim Lunsford was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 14-1 Lincoln Princes triumph at Lincoln Grounds. The 19-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Princes past the Franklin Cubs. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Lunsford told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The second baseman went 4-for-5, rung up 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Tim Lunsford hit a solo-shot off Dan Logan in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Dan Logan in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Naohiro Goto in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. This season, Lunsford has 37 home runs and a .273 batting average. |
