Higgins Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Monday, July 28th , 2025 Matt Higgins collected 1 hit in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Jacksonville Nationals, beat the Chuluota Imperials, 3-2. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Higgins quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Matt Higgins doubled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th. Higgins is currently batting .421 with 19 home runs, 78 RBIs and 105 runs scored. He has 171 hits in 406 at-bats. |
